Meet with your peers, chat, and eat during the social events organized to let participants have some free time to socialize and finally meet in person.

Please, note that the event will take place taking into consideration all the international and national safety regulations.

If the minimum number of participants for each tour is not met, the Organizing Secretariat will find an alternative tour or reimburse the ticket.

Welcome Cocktail

Meeting point: University of Milano, Via Festa del Perdono

Sunday, June 16th 2024, 05.00 pm to 08.00 pm

A Welcome Cokctail will be held on Sunday evening at the University of Milano in via Festa del Perdono to give all participants the opportunity to meet and socialise. The party lasts three hours, so take your time and don’t hurry.

Classical Music Concert

Meeting point: University of Milano – Aula Magna

Monday, June 17th 2024, 07.00 pm

On June 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the University of Milano, a concert will be performed by the UNIMI Orchestra, conducted by its music director Sebastiano Rolli.
Music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven.

Young Scientists Cocktail

A Milanese apericena will be held on June 17 at 7:30 p.m., in one of Milan’s coolest neighborhoods. The event aims to break the ice and allow all the young researchers at the conference to chat and get to know each other

(Undergraduate students, PhD students and junior postdocs)

Public Event

Meeting point: University of Milano – Aula Magna

Wednesday, June 19th 2024, 07.00 pm

On June 19 at 7:00 p.m., in the Aula Magna of the University of Milano, a roundtable with three distinguished scientists will focus on new discoveries in astroparticle physics and the challenges and opportunities they present to the scientific community and to society at large. This event is open to the public and will be held in Italian.

Conference Dinner in the Science Museum

The Neutrino 2024 Congress Dinner will take place at the Science Museum of Milano (Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci) via San Vittore 21.

The dinner will be held at the Science Museum, the largest technical-scientific museum in Italy and one of the largest in Europe. It has the world’s largest collection of machine models based on Leonardo da Vinci’s drawings. It is visited by over 500,000 people every year.

We are looking into the possibility of giving you the opportunity to visit a part of the museum before the dinner.

The nearest underground stations are

After exploring the city center, head to the Teatro alla Scala, just a few blocks away. This iconic theater has hosted some of the world’s greatest operas and performances. It offers visitors a unique behind-the-scenes experience. Here you’ll have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the theater’s backstage and costume departments, where you’ll see firsthand how some of the most elaborate costumes and sets are created.

You’ll also learn about the history of the theater and its role in Italian culture. You can even get a glimpse of the famous “red box” seats where some of the world’s most famous opera singers have performed.

Milano in Tram
